Wine is matured for 24 months in new Croatian and French oak barrique barrels. After barrique, it matures for another 6 months in stainless steel tanks. After bottling, it is aged for 11 months.
The wine has intense ruby color with pronounced varietal aroma that varies from discrete floral Mediterranean shrubbery to strong fruity scents of berries and dried prunes.
It is full-bodied, with pronounced yet soft tannins. Despite being a dry wine, it has long and slightly sweet finish.
Complex, powerful wine with alcohol at 14.5 vol %, and a pleasant 6.5g/l of acids. These characteristics provide good potential for resting and aging.
Wine is matured for 24 months in barrique barrels, 50% new, 50% old Croatian and French barrique barrels. After barrique, it is matured for another 1 year in stainless steel tanks. After bottling, it is aged for 6 months.
Deep ruby red color. Full of spices with slight vanilla notes.
Blend of varietals- Plavac Mali (40%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), with Syrah and Tempranillo (10%). Full-bodied, with mature tannins.
Medium alcohol content, 13.5 vol %, with slightly elevated acids, 6.8 g/l, giving freshness to wine and a good potential for resting.
Fermentation was done at a slower pace and in lower temperatures, around 12°C, that resulted in soft fruity aroma (strawberry, black currant, and berries) and subtle scent of Mediterranean herbs.
Despite rather quick processing at low temperatures, the wine has a lively pink color. This can be attributed to high heat in summer months resulting in partially colored juice inside grapes.
Pink counterpart of Plavac Mali.
Despite the above, the wine is not simple at all. On the contrary, with alcohol content 12.5 vol% , and especially high extract, we are dealing with a complex, structured wine with a well-pronounced body. Acids are around 5gr/l and fit in nicely with this harmonic wine.
